HooHathlon, Father's Day & Birthday

on the way to the 2.5km mark
Headed home after a short after event-ceremony. Goodie bag was super! There was BBQ buffet too..
Both AIRs were extremely manja when they saw me. Changed, got them ready and we headed out for lunch with my parents too. AIR1 slept on the way to lunch, AIR2 slept on the way to the party.
Then we were ready for the party!
Guests came abit later than 4pm but we were all good as the birthday girl was still asleep. She awaken to a crowd of new faces and she didn't really like it. (photo not downloaded yet ;p)
Will post bout the birthday later. We had a great time, though AIR1 and AIR2 took turns to stick to us. Thank goodness AIR1 was comfortable playing with Lil' Adam and they were preoccupied.
It was fun and hassle free for us, otherwise cleaning up would have been soooooo tiring!
Thanks for coming and all the presents, ya!!
And thanks Tey, for the race photos!

AIR2 almost 1 year after

- Still does not have any teeth (yes, it’s amazing, but she being No.2, I'm not worried as I'm now abit more aware than before)
- Loves to stand, but still can’t do a hands-free
- Likes to grab and hold on tight to people who carry her, i.e. me or daddy
- Is not stranger-friendly at all
- Loves to play ‘cak’
- Does not give up easily when trying to keep what’s hers, hers…especially if her brother is the one taking it away from her
- Loves to scream when she’s not happy with anything/anyone
- Is an ultra-light sleeper…the WILL ALWAYs wake up when lifted/moved from current sleeping position
- Ultra-clingy

AIR2's first birthday
Having said that, on the day of her birthday, Iwill be flying. :( Yeah, but at least I get to celebrate with her the night before and the morning itself. The party will be the weekend before...
Still cracking our heads to think of something!! HELP!

Chinese New Year, birthday & everything nice

Chinese New Year came and gone (the first few days lah). While we were also busy preparing for open house cum birthday celebration for AIR1, many were travelling back. Thank goodness this year we decided to just stay here and not go up north. Mum & Dad came.
CNY was kinda quiet. With most of my friends up north we just relaxed at home with a steamboat dinner on the eve. 1st day CNY which usually is spent at home while my relatives visit was still spent at home. Relaxing with family and entertaining the kids. 2nd day was when the ‘full swing’ came. Since it wasn’t a huge affair, things were kept simple.
Luckily we were not extremely ambitious so not much leftovers like the previous time.
AIR1 loved his Upin& Ipin themed cake and he just wanted to ‘eat’ them. The next day he woke up and saw the cake gone, but later I showed him the portion I saved and he said to me ‘Ipin sleep’. He ate the ‘eye’, ‘head’ and some of the alphabets. :)
Beautiful cake, but a tad too sweet. The icing and even the cake itself was very sweet. Otherwise I’d have wallop every remaining bit of it, I guess. haha
Over the weekend, nothing much happened. Had indian mutton briyani. Superb! that was lunch. Dinner another mutton/lamb meal. Oh boy...talk about lamb overload! :)
Sunday dinner was another family gathering. Thought of balinese-style food, we went to Subak, only to realise it's actually western. Should have gone to Bora Ombak or Bora Asmara, but nevertheless though Subak was slightly pricey, ambience and food was superb. I guess AIR1 enjoyed it most as it had so much space for him to explore!

Asrul is 2!

My lame attempt at making healthy and kid-friendly cuppies.
Still tastes ok, but I'm not good at the topping. Plus since for kiddies, I decided to hold off too much of choc or icing and the likes, so just plain writing ;p
The 'blanks' are just fillers so the tray would be full :)
Can't wait for his first birthday do at the nursery. Hope he'll have fun! He came home 4 days ago singing 'happy birthday' after one of his friend's had a birthday-do there. I guess he enjoyed himself.
Mummy & Daddy love you lots and hope you'll grow up to be a good, smart, obedient and be successful in life.

Congrats!
Firstly, congratulations to the new parents, Fong & Faisal....their newborn Zane (Sorry Fong, dunno how to spell his second name) came after a delayed appearance! All 4kg and 'hardwork' was cherished after a cute baby boy (almost the size of my AIR2 at one month) was safely delivered. Congratulations once again! You got me worried when I didn't receive any reply from you...but alhamdulilah when I called the hospital, got your ward number, you were safe and sound :) More pain and pleasure than IM, isn't it?
Apologies if AIR2 was crying too much when Iwent to see you. That's what you get when the baby's colic/kembung/angin whatchamacallit! :) And the drama AIR1 kicked up after the bottle broke! *phaiseh* (embarassed)
Fong, when's the next addition coming? hehe enjoy motherhood and your 60-day-break! :)
Next up, congratulations to newlyweds Lokman and his wife Nadiah! Lovely outfit and wanted to take pics with you guys, but unfortunately, the lil' one wasn't too comfy in the heat and didn't make things easy. Didn't manage to stay too long and missed Faisal.
All the best to Lokman and Nadiah...it's your new walk of life and may you be blessed with mny children! :)

Weekend Stayover
It was AIR’s first hotel stay and when we checked into the room he was super-excited. Babbling away non-stop, walking and exploring all over the room he was really happy.
After a short rest we decided to take him for a dip in the pool. It’s been ages since the last one. And that was when he hasn’t started walking. And my oh my, he just couldn’t wait the moment he saw the pool. Struggling while changing didn’t help. Once he was done, he just ran towards to pool. Aiyo, dangerous man. In the pool, he just couldn’t stop kicking and splashing with his arms, mimicking swimming moves and trying to push himself towards to side of the pool. Dunno where he learnt that but it was good to see. The best part was the kids’ pool was just nice for him to stand up. It took him by surprise when I just let him go all of a sudden, but he managed well.
Now, if a 2-3star hotel can provide free wifi and broadband services, why a 5-star hotel can’t? Isn’t it very strange? Wifi services were chargeable at RMX.95 per minute. Gosh, can you imagine? Per minute….
Anyways, it was a good stay over, minus the hectic swimming pool experience (oh boy I was tired after all that chasing around) and minus the massage/spa which I wanted to go for but didn’t have time in the end….lazing around and being entertained by the lil’ guy was good enough…

AIR turns 1
AIR’s 1 today. Wow, I can’t believe it’s been one whole year. It seems like just a short while ago I was trying to ‘push’ him out and now he’s already 1!
This morning we lit 3 candles with letters A, I and R on a cupcake to let him blow the candles. He can blow his toy trumpet and the day before daddy taught him to blow to cool his porridge. But this morning, he starred at the candles and just wanted to grab it. No amount of demo and persuasion to blow could make him blow. So we blew it for him. Then he grabbed the candles and somewhat wanted to eat the candles! And so that was the morning of his birthday.
